Choosing the right base for your parasol is one of the pieces of advice we give our customers, based on their space and needs.
When customers come to Skalar, they often ask us these questions:
Will it be heavy enough? Will it hold my parasol securely? Will it be easy to move?
At Skalar, we have many types of bases for your parasols. We are specialists in this product and we are going to show you the bases that best suit your parasol.
There are bases for central-pole parasols and bases for cantilever parasols, and we even have one that is unique on the market that adapts to both; it works for both central-pole and cantilever parasols.
The weight of the base directly affects the size of the parasol; this weight varies greatly, with bases ranging from 15 kg to 170 kg.
ROMA Base
Polished anthracite grey granite base weighing 40 kg. Suitable for central-pole parasols.
The pole is made of stainless steel with adapters for 48 and 38 mm diameter masts.
It has two small roller-type wheels for short movements.
A very good option for an Eolo parasol from the Ezpeleta brand, although it looks good with any central-pole parasol.
BOX 5 Base
It is a base for central-pole parasols equipped with double wheels with brakes that allow easy movement and transfer from one area of the terrace to another. The tube accommodates parasols with masts of 48 or 38 mm in diameter.
Made with red pine wood treated for outdoor use and stainless steel screws. Inside there are 20 kg of river pebbles. The total weight of the base is 35 kg.
It is a handmade product manufactured in Spain.
BOX 6 Base
Base for central-pole parasols equipped with double wheels with brakes that allow easy movement and transfer from one area of the terrace to another. The tube accommodates parasols with masts of 48 or 38 mm in diameter.
Made with red pine wood treated for outdoor use and stainless steel screws. Inside there are 35 kg of river pebbles. The total weight of the base is 50 kg.
Handmade product manufactured in Spain.
NOVA 8 Base
It is a base that works for both central-pole and cantilever parasols.
It is made of red pine treated for outdoor use and stainless steel screws.
It has highly resistant double wheels (90 kg/wheel) with brakes that facilitate its movement and correct placement.
It is supplied with grey or white stones, which provides the necessary weight for your parasol while also looking original and beautiful.
This base is recommended for central-pole or cantilever parasols up to 300 cm in diameter. Weight 80kg.
It is also available in a Plus option, which is 100kg in weight.
MODENA Base
Base for cantilever parasols, it is a solid 90 kg volcanic black granite stone with braked wheels.
The texture of the base is completely smooth.
Compatible with Platinum and Ezpeleta parasols, among others.
It is a premium product of the highest quality, and has a very attractive minimalist aesthetic for some customers.
